“Low and slow.” Dat was het motto van de lowriders, een subcultuur die eind jaren veertig ontstond onder latino's in Los Angeles, die hun auto's veelkleurig beschilderden en de carrosserie verlaagden, om vervolgens langzaam rond te cruisen. Zoiets doe je uiteraard niet zonder muziek. Meest populair onder lowriders waren doowop en zwoele soulballads. Voor Kent stelden Sean Hamspey van het label Diggin' Deep en lowriderkenner Ruben Molina stelden deze fraaie introductie tot het genre samen. 24 artiesten komen voorbij, waaronder William Bell, The Lovers, The Whispers en Barbara Mason. Tijd om de auto te verbouwen.
