De 23-jarige Tom Grennan wilde altijd voetballer worden, totdat hij op zijn 18e The Kooks’ Seaside zong ten overstaan van zijn vrienden, welke hem gelukkig hebben aangemoedigd om de muziek in te gaan. Tom’s krachtige stem doet denken aan Paolo Nutini, en zijn songwriterschap vindt gemakkelijk zijn weg tussen James Bay, Jake Bugg en Ed Sheeran. Met zijn debuutalbum Lighting Matches zal Tom Grennan vele harten gaan veroveren. Die van mij heeft hij al.
