Afgelopen zomer voerde Jordi Savall met zijn orkest Le Concert des Nations een bijzonder concert uit rondom zes toonkunstenaars, die rond 1700 met speciale effecten de muziek bijzonder kleuren. Naast werken van Jean-Fery Rebel (Les Elements), Marin Marais (Alcione) en Jean-Philippe Rameau (Les Indes Galantes), bestaat het programma uit werken van Matthew Locke (Music for The Tempest), Antonio Vivaldi (La Tempesta di mare) en Georg Philip Telemann (Wassermusik). Een prachtig live album met boeiende effecten om stormen, onweer, aardbevingen, de zeewind of gewoon vuur te verbeelden. Bij het laatste werk van Rameau krijgt zelfs het publiek een rol voor een spetterende finale van dit kleurrijke concert. Uiteraard wordt er prachtige gespeeld en is het album voorzien van een uitgebreide toelichting met veel foto’s.
