DJ Erol Alkan’s faam schoot de lucht in toen hij hij in 2006 door Mixmag verkozen werd tot DJ Of The Year. Exemplarisch zijn remixes als die van Franz Ferdinand (Do You Want To), Scissor Sisters (I Don’t Feel Like Dancing) en Hot Chip (Boy From School). Zijn remix van Justice (Waters Of Nazareth) is genre bepalend. De eerste schijf bevat merendeels nieuwe electronica.
