Voordat Ike Turner samen met Tina Turner ging samenwerken en hits ging scoren had hij er al een hele tijd als sessie muzikant opzitten,sterker nog, sommigen beweren dat hij met het nummer Rocket 88 (opgenomen door Sam Phillips in de Sun studio en uitgebracht op Chess) een van de eerste rock ‘n’roll nummers ooit heeft opgenomen. Op deze vier dubbel cd, met twee boekjes vol informatie en discografische gegevens, bijna alle nummers waarop Turner heeft meegespeeld van 1951 tot en met 1957. Met oa. Elmore James, Jackie Brenston, Bobby Bland, Little Milton en Roscoe Gordon.
