I have wanted to release an album so badly, because it gives me the opportunity and space to tell my story and share my thoughts. Higher is not only about love, but also about growing up, the emotional effect of being in the spotlight all the time, bullying, sexual intimidation and war.

Sebastiaan and I have been working on Higher for over a year now and I can promise you we wrote every song with passion and full devotion. I am very proud and excited to share it with all of you who care.
