Esin Afşar was born in Italy from Turkish parents, and after
graduating from the Ankara State Conservatory she entered the
Turkish State Opera and Ballet as a pianist. After meeting with
Ruhi Su, the opera singer, Turkish folk singer and saz virtuoso, she started to mix (piano) jazz
with Turkish traditional folk songs. This album holds an interesting mix of Turkish folk songs,
with nice jazz arrangements and good piano play, and do not forget a weeping horn section.
Her unique style will light up your heart.
