The Buffalo Springfield were formed by Neil Young and Stephen Stills but in addition to their historical significance the band were successful in their own right. Despite only lasting two years they produced a string of hit singles and three studio LPs. The Springfield were widely acknowledged to be at their best live on stage and this 14-track LP brings together a variety of appearances from 1967 including 6 tracks from the Monterey International Pop Festival where they were joined onstage by David Crosby. A strong performance at the Hollywood Bowl is tempered by some distortion on the backing vocals and AM radio interference between tracks.
