Ace Records maakte al vaker dankbaar gebruik van Detroit soul legende Dave Hamilton's werk. Als gitarist, producer en label-eigenaar groeide hij uit tot iemand met een fijn oor voor scherpe soul, r&b en in dit geval gospel. Zelf niet per se een gelovig man werd Hamilton aangestoken door de opwekkende diensten van overbuurman dominee C.L. Franklin, inderdaad de vader van. Een catchy gitaarpartij en swingende sound is op deze verzameling nooit ver weg, uitgevoerd door bijvoorbeeld de gedreven Little Stevie & The Reynolds Singers of de meer zwoelere Rev. Evans.
