Een bijzondere combinatie in meer dan 1 opzicht. Allereerst de combinatie van instrumenten: basklarinet en theorbe en vihuela. Helaas worden de instrumenten niet verder toegelicht in het bijgevoegde boekje. Wel is daarin een tekst van Valeriano dat vraagt om op muziek gezet te worden. Dan is er de combinatie van Europese barokmuziek en Arabische teksten waarvoor speciale hertaling nodig was. Verder een aantal nummers van niet nader geduide componisten van modernere – Arabische - oorsprong waaronder de Egyptische Sayed Darweesh. De samenklank van stem en instrumenten is fraai en bevestigt dat muziek universeel is. De drie uitvoerenden staan individueel voor klasse en de optelsom maakt het tot een bijzonder geheel.

A Lebanese singer, a baroque musician and a jazz musician united in their love for beautiful songs that enable and inspire them to sing and play their best. Songs from the West and from the East, both old and new. Music by Dawud Hosni, Michel Lambert and Constantijn Huygens go side by side, with new lyrics in Arabic fitted to 17th Century Baroque songs and innovative arrangements for the classical Arabic ones.
