Recensie
Met Songs from the Road wordt het 50-jarig bestaan van Canned Heat gevierd. Het betreft de registratie in Bonn dit jaar. Hart van de band is drummer Fito de la Parra (na de tragische dood van Al Wilson, Bob Hite en Henry Vestine). Zijn vocalen in de opener On the Road Again verspellen weinig goeds, maar op de rest van het album (14 nummers op cd, 16 op dvd) weet de band zich prima door haar oeuvre te werken.
