De Noorse Tine Thing Helseth (1987) begon op 7-jarige leeftijd trompet te spelen en is thans een van de toonaangevende solisten van haar generatie. Haar verbazingwekkende intonatie geeft een open en eerlijk geluid en ze brengt vele stemmingen in haar repertoirekeuze. Na haar succesvolle eerste twee albums neemt Tine ons nu mee op een gevarieerde reis door het muzikale landschap van de late 19e en begin 20e eeuw met werken waarbij de lyrische stem van de trompet zo mooi tot uiting komt. Zoals het prachtige Albumblatt van Glazunov en Vocalise opus 34 van Rachmaninov. Verder ondermeer composities van Ibert, Puccini, de Falla en Kreisler. Tine wordt op voortreffelijke wijze begeleid door de Britse pianiste Kathryn Stott. Uitstekend album!
