A very special reissue
"Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1", the legendary second album by George Michael, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Only a short time later, on December 25, 2016, the legendary pop singer passed away.
In 2017, "Listen Without Prejudice 25" is a completely remastered version of the long player, available as an LP, a double CD and a set with three CDs and a DVD.
"Listen Without Prejudice" is the follow-up to Michael's successful debut "Faith". Originally released on September 3, 1990, it hit number one in the U.K. and number two in the U.S. charts. In Germany, it climbed to seventh place.
Among the best-known songs on the album are "Praying For Time," "Waiting For That Day," "Freedom! '90" or "Mother's Pride." Another highlight is also a cover version of the Stevie Wonder classic "They Won't Go When I Go".
In addition to the remastered album, both the double CD and the box set with three CDs and a DVD include a remastered recording of Michael's MTV Unplugged concert at Three Mills Island Studios on October 11, 1996, where the singer performed some of his greatest solo hits from the albums "Faith" and "Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1" as well as songs from his band Wham!
CD three of the box set also contains rare B-sides, mixes and live versions. The bonus DVD shows various promo videos and a special of the British TV show "The Southbank Show" from 1990. This deluxe box is rounded off by a 36-page booklet with liner notes, photos and memories from the personal archive of George Michael.
George Michael fans take note: Listen Without Prejudice 25" is a completely remastered and expanded reissue of the pop legend's second album.
